O man. i feel kinda weird now cos thinking day is over. Which means, there won't be so many footdrill sessions and no more item-practicing. O well, at least the 1-2 months of effort paid off :) During the parade on friday, no one fainted or felt unwell, "bangs" were uniformed (unlike our previous rehearsals and practices) and there were no flying berets. Haha. Our fcs (footdrill commandants) were super happy with us. Olivia said that she was so happy she felt like screaming on the podium.... haha. "Usually we had to scream and shout at u all but u suddenly did so well on the actual parade" she said (sth like that la). At the end of the parade, we went to the middle of the quadrangle and did our v-bom cheer. We were like cheering in the middle of the school, right infront of the classroom block. Haha. Then, we took pictures and went back for class. Oya, I forgot to write what happened b4 the parade. well, we had to reach school at 6.30 am so that we could rehearse one more time. I went to school with xiaoen in my dad's car, so I didnt really have to wake up too early. Unlike some of my batchmates who had to wake up at 4 something, I woke up at 5.20. Luckily I prepared my guides full uniform the night b4. When we reached school, we had to assemble at the canteen. Guess wat... I fell down the staires leading to it. -_-. Everyone was like.... omg xinyun, are u ok? o well. nvm. Quite a number of guides somehow injured their legs for this period of time. Soochin fell down the bus's steps (she's on crutches...get well soon!), xiaoen fell down the stairs at her friend's house (bandaged ankle), sandy injured her knee but still dunno the reason y (bandaged knee for some time).
Later that day after school, the sec 2s practiced our item. It was kinda messy cos a few of us could not perform (sick/injured) so we were like rushing. Then, we could not find a good venue to practices cos the npcc or st john's ppl were marching or practicing their lion and dragon dance at the quadrangle. So, we had to go the the basement carpark. We practiced until 4 plus and debrief. Then, the sec 3s in charged of this gave us chocolates and cards. My card said "Hey girl! It's very nice to see you helping your batchmates along the way and you never fail to cheer people up! Thanks for all your help and we appreciate it! LOVE" haha. THANK YOU I/Cs! Later that night, my ankle ached a lil but it's ok now.

On sat, we went to school to practice our item. By the end of it, we were like sweating as if we were in the rain. When it was time to go, the bus was late. When miss teng said that the bus was supposed to come at 8.35, he said, "really huh!" o well. So, we just sat around and played things like "concentration", "who stole the cookie from the cookie jar" and had a mini song session to revise some of the songs we needed when we reach the indoor stadium later. We also took photographs and had fun.
When we actually reached the stadium, we had a full-dress rehearsal with all the other guides from other schools. At around 12 noon, we had packeted lunch by the organisers.... outside a restaurant. nvm. It was pretty good except the chicken wing had a lot of artificial colouring. Your could see yellow liquid oozing out when u squeezed the skin gently. Anyway, miss teng asked chinwen ant i to get a cake of some kind at 7-11 cos there were quite a few bday guides, but could not find one. It started to rain to we came back using the shelters. When we got back, we found that miss teng had sent xiaoen to get us with an umbrella, so we had to call her to come back...haha. at around 1 plus, we went back inside the stadium and the performances and prize-giving started. NYGG coy 1 and 2 received Puan Noor Aishah Award gold and silver respectively. Pei Chun Brownies also received gold...yay! After the PNA gold awards were given out, it was our turn to perform. B4 that, we kept "whooshing" haaha. We went out to the middle of the area for our performance. I was almost directly infront of mrs nathan ok! so nerve-wrecking. We just went on and performed, although we made a few minor mistakes, our seniors said they didnt notice anything, so nvm. Actually, one of us went to the wrong place during one of our formations, so only one person jumped out after our "kallang wave" instead of 2, but it was ok la. During the performance, I could hear our seniors cheering us on. haha. especiallyduring the senang diri domino. (our item was a dance cum footdrill cum formation kinda thing.) After the performance, iris smsed one of us and said that they were very pleased and that we did a very good job. :) Thank you iris. Oya, when we were on the bus to the stadium earlier on, gaomin (our CL) smsed amanda and said sth like "pls tell the sec 2s the entire company is behind them. Jia you and do nygg proud!" Thank you gaomin! It was kind of a relief after the performance as we were very nervous b4 that. There were so many ppl ok! My lil sis also saw me performing. The finale of the celebration was very cool as there were motorcycles coming in and all that. After everything, we took the bus back to nygh. When i asked some of our seniors abt our performance, they said it was very neat and they were impressed. Renice also told us, "you guys did a good job! well done!" b4 she went home.:) Thank you seniors! Oya. Thank you amanda, sandy and charis too!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Here's wat i did for cny....

I layered my hair last wk!!! well... just a lil so i can still tie up my hair. I also bought quite a few sets of clothings.... planned out when i m going to wear them.

sunday (today)
- white tee with purple and pink butterfly brooch (both my elder sister's. they're new though)
- light pinkish purple tea-length pleated POA skirt (knee or tea-length skirts make ppl look taller u noe. this costed quite a lot, but my ma still bought it for me. thanks ma! I love this skirt)
- my 3-inch denim-with-a-white-ribbon-at-the-front platform shoes!!! (elder sister chose it with me)
- my dangly sparkling mini bites earrings (I bought with my sister's money...but nvm)
- pink red earth lip gloss which i couldnt bear to use besides during the choral night performance last yr
* I looked so girly today. My aunts and granduncle said i m all grown up and pretty :)LOL. My lil sis said that an uncle we didnt usually get to see thought i was someone's girlfriend cos he didnt recognise me. haha. I feel so acomplished cos i actually managed to wear the platform shoes thoughout the day... though my feet hurt a lil. haha. I also collected 18 red packets... yahoo!

monday (morning)
- pinkish beige D and G blouse (given to me by my aunt cos she found out that she had bought a size too small for her)
- black hang ten a-lil-above-knees skirt (bought it with my ma)
- the same dangly earrings
- the same shoes
- same lip gloss

monday (night)
- plain blue hang ten tee (bought with my ma)
- 3/4 hang ten jeans (bought with my ma)
-same earrings
- same shoes (dunna how it'll look like with jeans though)
- same lip gloss

This year, I took pretty short time to but all my clothings with my ma. Maybe cos a salesman was like picking out stuff he recomended and of the correct size for me. All the clothings he picked out was suitable so we bought them all. Then, my ma became a member of hang ten so we had either a 20% or 50% discount for each piece of clothing. we were only in there for like 20 mins and i settled 2 sets of clothings. Then we walked around a lil for my lil sis's shoes and went to POA. There, we bought the skirt i like the most among all the clothings we bought. My ma also bout a yellow tee there. Then, we settled everything and went to eat.

Actually, I was going to wear another cream coloured tee (given to me by my aunt) with a yellow racer-back (hang ten) inside cos it it had a rather wide neckline on the first day. BUT, after washing it, it turned from cream to patches of white and cream. Yup... it colour-faded and I only found out last night. So, my elder sis gave me her extra white tee she had bought for cny. thx jie.

Today was rather nice.... collect ang bao....eat....collect ang bao....eat.....haha. I also played with a lil kitten. it was so small and was rather curious about the prints on my skirt. So i was kneeling down and it was crawling all over my skirt. It also laid on my skirt on its back as if it was like a mattress or sth like that... maybe it treated it like a blanket. so cute. haha. At my granduncle's house, we watched curse of the golden flower and had dinner. I love my grandaunt-in-law's cooking...yum. especially the curry and potatoes in it. My granduncle actually managed to teach my elder sis A-maths for a while.... my sis looked as if she wanted to die. A-maths during cny... can u imagine? Luckily I m not the one taking o-levels this yr...haha

Happy Valentines Day !!!

Today, I received 2 marshmallows, 2 Hershey's kisses, a Dove chocolate, and a ferrero rocher. My mortal also gave me a packet of marshmallows :) I gave the whole class yupi mini burgers too! For some of my guide frens, I gave them either a ferrero rocher or a mini burger. For my mortal, I gave her a packet of chocolate-filled bicuits (the panda one), a mini burger and a ferrero rocher. Hope u like it :) Oya, i also bought a rose for my mum. Bought it from an auntie on a wheelchair outside bishan mrt station for $5.... kinda expensive for me.....but nvm..... it's hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. The auntie was such a poor thing ok..... she was like begging people to buy but they just ignored her. They did not even a take a glance and pretended as if she did not exist. So, i decided to get one for my mum. My dad asked me to say that it was from him but i refused....hehe

Yesterday, i had a negative amt of money in my ez link card, so i had to pay by cash. BUT i did not have small change. All I had was a note, so I went to the bus stop to ask whether an auntie and uncle who looked like they were in their 50s - 60s whether I could exchange some money. They didnt, but the uncle GAVE me 60 cents. THANK YOU uncle!!! How nice of him rite. I didnt know such things actually happen. I am soooo grateful. I was rushing to the dental clinic that time. However, I dun even know his name and it's not quite possible to meet him again. So I donated 60cents to a busker today at J8. :) To pass on the blessings (that's wat my aunt calls them). Oya, I kept the bus ticket which i received after using that 60 cents :D

hihi. I AM FREE OF COMMON TESTS!!! yipee! but i m bound with braces. light blue ones (close to my font colour)...hehe. feels tight but it's quite ok. The dentist put the brackets b4 extracting the tooth at my left side. Now my left side of my face, including a lil of my eyelid and nose, is numbed. so when i smile the right lip goes up but the left one doesnt... looks stupid but nvm... My wound is still bleeding so i still have my gauze in between my teeth. oya. the nurse gave me a new toothbrush for braces which is also blue :) plus, i also received a sorta weird bristle-with-handle kinda thing which is used to clean the gaps between the wire and the tooth. cant really close my mouth now and i'll have to wait until the numbing goes off before i can eat. i m back to plain porridge today.

I had my lang arts common test today. Thought it was quite alright. Hope i'll do well.

okok... i havent been blogging for quite some time cos of HW, common tests and projects. Anyway, tomorrow would be my last test (Lang Arts) woohooo. HOWEVER, I received my maths paper today and scored only 33/50.... booohooo. Careless mistakes, algebra and stuff like that caused it. Had my Sci and hist today.... so unlucky to have 2 of the need-to-study-and-memorise-the-most subjects on the same day. I'm tellng you, i m going to die. Lang Arts tomorrow is a letter to the editor kinda thing about the Rosa Parks incident. Shall read up on the Bus Boycott and racial discrimination tonight. Hope i'll do well.

So far, it has been quite busy with HW, projects, common tests, footdrill and practicing our thinking day item. I m so happy that we improved on our item so much since the first time we started. I still rmb the day we spent hours thinking of dance steps and only to complete about 1 min of the song. LOL. But we managed to complete it with so much of amanda's help :) thx to xiao en too! The sec 3s (amanda, charis, iris, anning, sandy...) are helping us with our footdrill for our dance cum footdrill item. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O ya. I m putting on braces (brackets and all) tomoro....AHHHH..... i think it's gonna hurt. A LOT. I shall get light blue brackets though :) xiao en.... go do braces kks. It's kinda ok... doesnt really hurt (from my experience so far.... not including tomoro) o well.... hope i would still be able to talk properly. Shall eat all i want today....haha
