Hello!!! I m back from camp (11-14 dec). Missed me? haha...jkjk. Here's wat i did.

Day 1
1st we had to set up the campsite. We took very, and i mean very long time to build our clothesline and shoerack. The tent was quite ok though we pitched it facing the wrong direction at first, so we had to dismantle everything and redo them. Then we had teambuilding activities and testworks. I passed all my test works!! :) I started my 1st day on the wrong foot though. First my ecall list was not ready, then I lost my shoebag. (-.-) I actually did my ecall list, but could not print it (stupit printer...), so I asked my PL to help me print it. She was kind of late that day so i did not have time to make it waterproof (1 of the criterias) But thanks to my very nice PL and ACCs, I could hand in my ecall list the next day cos all i had to do was make it waterproof :). The sec 4s found my shoebag at the canteen... i think i 4got to bring it into the sub-camp classroom cos there were so many things. I thought I was gonna get a scolding...heng my CC just returned it to me.
Next we had outdoor cooking...but it rained, so we had indoor cooking. We ate the food we cooked but we cooked too much so we had a lot of leftovers.
Then we had trust and courage. We were blind-folded during one of the stations and only our PL could see. We had obsticles like tables, chairs and twine. I made it through until around the middle when my PL was instructing another member. Then, 1 of the sec 4s told me to turn 1 round and led me straight back to the starting point. (-.-) The sec 4s had a good laugh trying to lead us back and confuse us. We also had fun though.
After that, we had supper and went to prepare our tent by placing newspapers and arranging our sleeping bags. A frog hopped under the tent and we were all freaked out but couldnt do anything cos we couldnt see anything. After our PL came back from COH (some meeting thingy) we had our patrol meeting before washing up and FINALLY went to bed. Sleeping in a tent was quite fun, though the ground was was quite bumpy and hard.

Day 2
Woke up at 5.45am...so tired. Went to brush our teeth and all that b4 having Colours and PT. Charis and I went to buy the ingredients for outdoor cooking competition cos we were in food prep, so we escaped patrol inspection...haha. When we returned, we had orienteering (ladder...e shelter...river crossing... all those i mentioned in the earlier posts).
Then, we had outdoor cooking. Our theme was fusion and the compulsory ingredient was nuts. So we had Fusion Noodles (yellow noodles, ikan bilis with peanuts,tofu, satay sauce, mix veg) and Fusion Dumpling Soup (pork dumplings in campbells's chicken soup). Turned out quite nice. The turfing and firelighting ppl had quite a lot of problems cos the ground had a lot of rocks and roots but the food prep ppl had quite an easy time... haha.
After lunch and all the washing we went to bukit timah nature reserve by bus. We filled in an empty extended bus lah...abt 90 of us. We could not go up in groups oof more than 40 so sub-camp 1 went up first. Sub-camp 2, including me stayed at the foot for some activities like crossword puzzles and stuff. When sub-camp 1 came back, it was our turn to go up. The slope was super steep ok!!! We found it easier to walk backwards though. After walking for dunno how long (ok lar... it was quite short) we reached our checkpoint. We were supposed to pick up twigs and make a structure, but since it was going to rain we had to go back down. My legs were like jelly at the end of all that. My PS told me that my legs would be softer during our night trail but for a different reason (-.-). We did our structure in school using the leftover twigs for outdoor cooking and twine. Then it was bath time and dinner.
We had Craft after that and made an angel and snowman clips since xmas was nearing. Then.....da da da da.....we had our night trail thingy. We were given a scenario - a murder case with some clues. It was abt this guy who was a manager of 2 superstars. He had a wife but had an affair with another lady. So we had to go around the school with a torchlight per patrol.
Our 1st station near the dance studio with a "cleaner" who hates the 2 superstars. We had to ask qns and get a chopstick plus a clue.
The next clue was sth like "a green circle trapping me. let me out" so we went to the place at the running track where there was a circle on the ground and green netting surrounding it. But first we had to learn how to light a kerosene lamp. Then we had to follow "mathew" (the manager)'s ghost and listen to "him" and find clues while we walk round and round the the circle. Gao Min (My CC and the person acting as mathew) purposely spoke very softly so that when we were near enough she could turn around and scare us. Anyway, we did the usual stuff like ask qns and get the chopstick.
Our next clue we had was a picture of a black circle and it said sth abt swinging so we went to the tire swings. There we met "mr richard" who hated mathew cos mathew stole his lover and was better than him in everything. There, we just walked around with "him" and listened to "him" talk abt mathew and we asked him qns. Then, michelle was kidnapped from us cos we could not ans a qns. She was blind-folded and taken away by the poncho ppl. We promised to find her though. But first we had to cut out letter by letter from the newpapers "mr richard, who killed mathew chua?" We showed him the paper and "he" simply said, "it's a secret" (-.-) oya did i mention that the ppl could onli ans "yes" "no" "i dunno" and "it's a secret" qns? Anyway, we 4got to take the chopstick and when we went back to get it, they refused. We were just a few steps away from the station lor. Anyway we went to find michelle and found her near the stairs.
Our clue was a thread so we had to go to the sewing room, which was on the 3rd storey. We went to up very quietly cos we did not want to meet the poncho ppl again. When we finally reached the station, we had to sew buttons first (-.-). Then we met "mathew's brother" who quarrelled with mathew a few days b4 he died and he was also bankrupt. We did the usual stuff and remembered to get the chopstick.
Our next clue was "left, right, left, click. Bring a camera to take a picture of the bride" We went to the locker area near the security guard stand. There were toys lined up and a gowing barbie doll. We had to sing a wedding song for "candy" who was the lady mathew had an affair with. We had to show the wedding invitation card with blood-like designs cos it said "welcome to the wedding of mathew and candy. which is also the the death anniversary of mathew and kyle" sth like that. Attached was a funeral patch and we were suppose to give it to "candy". Then we had to find our next clue by finding the correct toy. We did not have enough time so we just ran to the canteen area cos "candy" was about to chase us. 4got to tell u that candy was like mentally got sth wrong one... acted like a crazy person so she was kinda creepy. She did not even know mathew was dead. oya kyle was her child whom mathew wanted her to abort.
When we reached the canteen area, most of the patrols were already there. We had to write on a slip of paper who we thought was the murderer and the reason. We wrote candy. In the end, the ans was the cleaner. They said that the cleaner did not like the 2 superstars and placed a bottle of cleaning agent and a "i hate you" note. The manager thought it was herbal tea and drank it (-.-) so anti-climax rite. I hear last year's night trail was much scarier... so the sec 1s this year are much more luckier. We had supper and and had the usual stuff (COH, patrol meeting, wash up, lay newspapers in tent and stuff) Was so tired...

Day 3
First up was washing up, Colours and PT. Then we had to go to s'pore river near the esplanade for our wide game. It was a get-clue-find-station-do-activity kind of thing. Our first clue was a picture of a sailor in a boat with a key beside so we had to go to boat quay from city hall mrt station. We had a map and a blooklet. We also had a raw egg we had to carry on our hand throughout the game to get 30 points. At boat quay, we had to walk all around the place b4 finding the station below the bridge. (-.-) Then find out that we had to go back to the place we walked about to list out restaurants and wat type of cuisine they serve and write out a rap. Our's sounded more like a poem though. I m lazy so i shall just tell u the clues we received, the place and the activity.

We only had time for these so we took pictures of places that earned us marks and wrote short write ups.
We had a total of 173 points.... not bad rite, although we wasted a lot of time trying to find our stations and the keris knife.
After that, we went back to nygh and our J1/J2 seniors from hci came to teach us how to build a bridge using spars and twine. We learnt a few new knots and lashes too :)
We had our bath time and dinner b4 our most anticipated CAMPFIRE!!!
After opening campfire, it started to rain so we had to go into the canteen and the sec 3s made another fake campfire. We had our song sessions and games like the balloon bursting game. Then we had to perform our item which was a play with a few cheers and a dance. Our music chalked up when we were dancing and suddenly changed into a slow song. xiao en pretended to be a ballerina and everyone had a good laugh. We had more song sessions b4 our teacher declared the campfire close.
Then we had our supper and usual stuff. Our patrol could not sleep in our tent cos it was like FLOODED with water, so together with another patrol, we slept inside the classroom. In the middle of the night, it started to rain with lightning and all so the rest of the sub-camp came into the classroom anyway. I did not know until i woke up the next day. (-.-)

Day 4
We washed up and had Colours (no PT !!! :D) Then we had breakfast and striking of camp, meaning we had to dismantle our tents and gadgets. We didnt even use the clotheline and shoerack lar.
Anyway, we had footdrill later. The sec 1s pretty much 4got everything cos we dun really have a lot of footdrill sessions so our FC cum CC and 2 other sec 3 had to teach again. They looked as if they wanted to vomit blood but were very nice and just explained all the things again. It was our sec 4 CL who sorta scolded us. Understandable though. At the end of it, we sat around the sec 3s and CC as our CC said that we really have to go home and revise on our own and that she really hoped that out thinking day march would be a success. I really dun think we can find a nicer CC than her.
Next we had Sabotage. We were blinded-folded and went about the science lawn area with mud, ketchup, chilli sauce and god knows wat being "applied" on us and we were fed with dunno wat creamy tuna with bread with water with dunno wat stuff. We also had to slide down a bench of mud and a sec 3 marched on the spot to splatter us with mud. We also tried to kick mud onto the sec 3s and 4s just for fun. When it ended, we sat on the stairs with the help of the sec 3s and 4s b4 being told to remove our blindfolds. Everyone was like "omg" cos we had mud all over us including our hair. I also had paint on my face and my hair was sprayed orange with hair colour or sth like that. The sec 3s and 4s were like laughing, smirking and smiling evily. We posed for a picture and went for a bath.
Next we had area cleaning and prize presentation. Our patrol did not get anything but nvm... we had fun. We also found out that in order to plan all these, our sec 3s slept at abt 3 am every day during the camp but had to wake up at the same time as us (abt 6am)... thank you for ur effort sec 3s!!! This is the most fun and tiring but memorable camp i have ever went to. Xiao En, a few other sec 1s and I shouted, "THANK YOU SEC 3S" at the end of everything b4 going home....haha.
