I was such a SOTONG today!!! I thought there was psl meeting today,so i told my PL, CCs,ACCs and Mdm. Xiao En did not noe abt it, so she pretty much got the shock of her life. We went to the LT1 but there was no one there. SO...we ran around the school looking for them. Then Miss Ong went to help check with the teachers. We found out that it was on 30 December NOT November. (-.-)Sry about that xiao en!

We did outdoor cooking today. I was in food prep, together with michelle and linxi. First up, linxi and I made the dumplings while michelle chopped the peanuts, onions and garlic. Things went pretty smoothly until we found out that we did not have enough containers/bowls/plates to contain the things that we finished preparing, so things became rather messy. I also had a stomachach... no those that would go away after going to the toilet, but those that just won't go away. so michelle and linxi helped to do the things that required quite a bit of running around while i sat at the bench to prepare the food most of the time. Thx linxi and michelle!

Then, it was time to cook it at the pit.We did the soup first cos it was easier...it was campbell's soup mah. After that, we dumped in the dumplings and waited for a while. I went about trying to get containers for the fusion dumpling soup... luckily we had some that we brought from home. We scooped it into the containers and washed the pot. Michelle jiffed it and we went to cook the peanut sauce, mixed vegetables and tofu for the fusion pasta. The peatnut sauce dried up quite a bit so we couldn't really see it. We also went over the time limit and had to add dark sauce and oyster sauce so that it wouldn't be so bland. FINALLY we could eat our food after the pasta was ready. We served sonme for mdm and the sec 3s also. Evelyn, wann qin and wye teng were very hungry cos they had to do the turfing and fire lighting. I couldn't eat much cos of that stomachach though it tasted quite nice. Charis was on holiday, so she wasn't here... wat a pity. If she were here, we could have finished the food. Haha...jkjk... no offence Charis! Then we washed up after we were done.

We had our camp briefing today. We have to bring soooo many things... even more than wat i usually bring when I go overseas! Hope I can find a bag big enough...haha. I m looking forward to the camp... I can't wait! After all that sewing, designing and preparation, I hope we would do well. I love this patrol man!

I saw the completed logbook decorated by evelyn. It's so pretty!!! We had a book cover with our logo that had those plastic eyes u could paste on and roll the pupils... haha. It was designed very nicely and we also had pictures inside the book. Charis, u must take a look at it when u come back kks?

Ok... here's my post. I m typing very slowly now cos I m finally using the correct fingering to type after my ma berated on me how important it would be when I grow up and work. So I m typing at snail's pace and would have mistakes every few words I type. I gave up typing the correct way on msn though. Anyway these days, I would be either in guides or helping my ma in the office. So I only get to use the comp at night.

For guides, I only sewed my patrol scarf with my patrol members. It's finally 3/4 finished... after dunno how many weeks (-.-)My sewing skills are very cham...so it's a great achievement already ok... Then we went to corro for lunch and bought some stuff for outdoor cooking on thurs. Now let's move on for today. We did gadget making again so that we could finalise our design. We did our gadget as quickly as my typing speed now (-.-) We were given quite a lot of time... so nvm. BUT we estimated the pole sizes for our shoerack wrongly so we couldnt fit it under the clothesline structure. After all the pain in our legs we felt due to squatting down to make it and all the blisters we developed due to trying to tighten the twines...IT WOULDN'T FIT!!! The Sec 3s and 4s started laughing at it when they came round to check our gadgets (-.-) nvm... We had lunch later for an hour...nth much to say.

After that we did human ladder. Each person had to hold spar together with another person. Then we had to line them up parrallel-ly,one higher than the next to form sth like a flight of stairs. One person would have to climb up by stepping on the spars like the steps of a slanted ladder without the verticals. Its quite fun, but we were anly allowed to form a "ladder" of at most 6 steps cos it was too high. After that, we did the usual stuff like ladder (the one we had to make with spars and rope, and then let it down from he second floor),creative e-shelter (made with a poncho, poles, bricks and twine) and creative gadget making.

At the end of the session my patrol had to stay back to discuss some stuff and do our log book. The log book has all the info of wat we did, sketches, cheers and lots more. My fav section is the one which we write abt each other :) My patrol members were all so nice ok!!! They said that I did a great job with the gadget design.My PL said that I was very pro...haha. The also said that i was a good treasurer though all i did was keep receipts. All of them said that I was brainy and cheerful...:D Thx evelyn, charis, wann qin, linxi and michelle! I also wrote quite a bit for them. All of us wrote down our gratitude for one another for all that they have done for us in that section too. Now, I feel so...good abt myself I guess. Never felt like this ever since i came to sec sch...maybe cos all the ppl here r so pro...haha. My patrol members are all so nice and encouraging and cheerful and helpful and...(on and on) I seriously think that I'll be much closer to my guide mates than my classmates. My guide mates are more easy going I think. Most of my classmates r nice too, but I still dun really think that I m very bonded to the class yet. Shall make an effort next yr ;)

I pity them of course but I dun really cry. I haven't cried in at least.... dunno how many years. However I used to cry a lot when I was little.

Guides Session

Wahh... long time no blog. There has not been anything much to blog about lah. Anyway, 2 days ago, I had a guides session. We did river crossing, wood chopping/splitting/sawing and had a song session. It was quite tiring but fun. Poor Xiao En fell into the pond when she was crossing the A-frame and was soaked from shoulders to toes. We had to walk around in her wet clothes and squishing shoes until the end of the sesion. About 4 ppl fell into the pond I think. Later on, I wasn't able to split the wood and took a very very long time to saw a piece off. All the Sec Ones took turns to chop the log too.

Today, We did turfing and fire-lighting. I still can't aim properly when I am turfing!!! As it had been raining these few days, the twigs were a little wet so we took a super long time to light them. They also produced lots of smoke. When we were turfing we found a few earthworms wriggling inside so we "transported" them by using twigs to another area, but I seriously don't think they are going to survive. Maybe we also burnt the rest of their family which we didn't see. oops. Our CL said that they can reproduce and told us not to waste our time by letting the entire patrol fuss about a microscopic worm (something like that...haha). When we had to put back our turf into the pit, there were bumps and all that. About one quarter of the grass was destroyed due to our aiming (or the lack of it...) (-.-) Then, we had our gadget making session. My patrol had to dismantle our entire gadget way before time cos it was so slanted and we chose the wrong heights for our poles (-.-). Our teacher also said we had to make some changes to the design. So, we just sat around and discussed our design.
